red, white & blonde

I spent a majority of my nights these past two weeks watching the national conventions. i was quite distracted from the all the speeches with the multitude of "hey cnn, put me on t.v. with my crazy hat" delegates. i admit, i have had quite a few publicized appearances of my own steming from creative signs, good seats and the sort on various sports & media websites, all of which i am proud of (you would be too, and if you're reading this you've probably been in the pictures with me). but i was distracted in a good sort of way, they are creative, each quite pleased with their masterpieces. here are some of my favorite:

on a further note, i have decided what my current dream job is: stylist to the first family. as the face of America there are some thing i think should be considered:
1. dress in Americana/neutral colors. take a hint from the perfect first lady, Laura Bush: 2. keep the eye makeup/hair natural. attention megan mccain: here she looks great, simple, classic.. but i've also seen a picture or two of the black eyeliner overdose. 3. keep the "mom spit fix the baby's hair" to a minimum - just kidding, that was precious. little Piper just catches my eye because she seems like quite the character, so proud of her momma & loving waving with her at every chance. i mean, look at this little outfit. what do you think this precocious missy is thinking in this picture?i just love tailored looks, skirt suits, family ensembles in coordinating colors, each showing a bit of each family members styles, preppy ties (or even better, bow ties!), classic grooming. i am getting anxious just thinking about it! first ladies' are the femininity of America, they should show the strength of the woman behind our man!
i loved Sarah Palin's speech (who didnt?) and John McCain, respect him, but his speech reminded me a tad of Elle Woods' speech to congress in Legally Blonde 2 (Red, White & Blonde - duh) Elle: So speak up, America. Speak up for the home of the brave. Speak up for the land of the free gift with purchase. Speak up, America!
John: Stand up to defend our country from its enemies. Stand up for each other; for beautiful, blessed, bountiful America. Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. Nothing is inevitable here. We're Americans, and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.
Take it with a grain of salt, in the mean time register to vote! make America fit your style:

Y, thick hair
